Two–three log milke startup shuru karte hain, enthusiasm high hota hai, lekin co-founder agreement likhne pe sab delay karte hain – “baad me dekh lenge”. Problem tab start hoti hai jab expectations mis-match ho jate hain.
Document me ideally clear hona chahiye:
- Equity split and vesting (time-based ya milestone-based),
- Roles and decision areas,
- Salary policy,
- IP ownership – code, branding, content, patents,
- Exit scenarios – voluntary exit, forced exit, death, disability, misconduct,
- Non-compete and non-solicit limits.
Agreement fight ka signal nahi; actually fight avoid karne ka tool hai. Har co-founder ko lagna chahiye ki system fair hai, aur sab ke contribution ka realistic reflection hai.
